Pay Attention!!

Our life has become more mechanical and competitive. We try to do more than a onething at a time, yeah multitasking in everything. We can hardly see a person who pays attention and concenterate on a single task, we defnitly make fun of such people. So manythings like while eating we watch tv, talking in phone when cooking, listening to music/background music while doing something these are very common among everyone now. I dont say any of these is wrong, You might wonder then why do I say all these. At work place or in other situations we have to do multitasking to present ourself better, there is nothing wrong in that. But aren't we showing the same attitude during the personal time with God? thinking about our personal problems, stuffs to do or even thinking about what to cook for the next meal.

Bible says, in Proverbs chapter 4

 

 "My son, pay attention to what I say;
turn your ear to my words.
Do not let them out of your sight,
keep them within your heart;
 for they are life to those who find them
and health to one’s whole body."

Yes, when we pay attention to what He says and understands it in a correct way, he has promised life and health to whole body. Its very important to understand what God speaks to us and to understand, He requires our undivided attention. We cant have something running in our mind and hear God. When our mind is occupied, then all we hear is from our own self. I'm sure many people read the Bible but never hear God. They don't hear God because their minds are occupied with other things.

Bible says in the book of Romans chapter 10 verse 17 says, "So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God." We have to develop hearing, and out of hearing faith develops. And the book of II Corinthians  chapter 5 says, We live by faith. So its very clear we live by hearing/paying attention to word of God.

 

Its not too late.

It's time to Wake up and Pay Attention to Gods words!
